Well I did have some nice tracks lined up for today, but i'm glad to have come to the conclusion that this man here needs to be put on blast. I stumbled upon him a while ago when reading about his sentence of 14 years for accepting a briefcase containing $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine (with intention to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to distribute), with that conviction being commuted by Mr. President Bush himself last year. Now this is perhaps typical of a "rapper", but not when you read his credentials..

Born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York. After graduating highschool he was offered a full scholarship to study violin at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, where he continued and graduated in 93'. From there he joined up with the Fugees through Lauryn Hill where he co-wrote and produced songs for their multi-platinum lp "The Score". From there he's gone on to release 2 albums: "Poly-sci" and "I, John" (which I might add is next to impossible to find a vinyl ep of, so if anyone out there knows of one feel free to get at me). Anyways this guy is legit, he is where rap and hip hop should be, and should be going. Heres a sample of his current mixtape out, check him out, dig his music, and for the love of god if you stumble upon an I,John vinyl. Buy it for me and I will gladly reimburse you. PEACE
